Built in 1928 for the son of a prominent oil baron, majestic Greystone Mansion today is surrounded by 18.5 pastoral acres of lush, City-owned parkland. The former Doheny estate is now a registered historical landmark and serves as a stunning backdrop for cultural and educational activities, photo and commercial shoots, weddings and public events. Since 1965, when the property was leased to the American Film Institute, Greystone has had feature roles in many famous movies.

Venue

For the picture perfect wedding site, this classic European garden with a manicured lawn, surrounded by white roses and boxed hedges cannot be surpassed. A historic fountain highlights this area with its cascading water feature. The Formal Garden is only available for wedding ceremonies.

Theater: 300

Cypress Walk is highlighted by a graceful seated fountain on the east side and eight gargoyle fountains on the north wall. The south side of the garden overlooks the majestic mansion. This multilevel event space is only available for cocktails.

The Pool Area provides a private garden ambiance. The historic pool house and original arched trellises highlight this area. Though the pool no longer exists, the original limestone coping of the pool was left in place and the pool artfully bricked in. This location has separate changing rooms for the wedding parties and private restrooms for their guests. The pool area has full disabled access.

Surrounded by the majestic Greystone Mansion, this historic motor court features an enchanting fountain and colorful slate to provide the perfect atmosphere for a reception.

For that intimate occasion, the Greystone Terrace and Reflection Pond is a perfect setting. Overlooking the cedar lined drive and expansive lawn of the estate and affording sweeping views of the city, this area is sure to impress your guests.
